Questions

Answers before you get started.

Automation

That's the goal. We design systems so your climate, locks, cameras, and other connected devices are controllable from a single app or interface, plus voice control through Alexa, Google, or Siri.

In most cases, yes — we integrate existing compatible devices into the new system rather than replacing everything. If something isn't compatible, we'll tell you upfront and recommend the best path forward.

Cabling

WiFi is convenient and works well for phones, laptops, and many smart devices. Structured cabling (Cat6/6A) provides a faster, more stable connection for things like access points, cameras, and streaming equipment, and it takes pressure off your wireless network.

Climate

Most modern HVAC systems are compatible with smart thermostats and zoning equipment. We evaluate your current system during the initial walkthrough and confirm compatibility before recommending equipment.

General

Not necessarily. Many devices work well over WiFi and can be added without new wiring. That said, structured cabling gives cameras, access points, and AV equipment a more reliable connection than WiFi alone, so we often recommend a hybrid approach depending on your home and goals.

Yes. We work directly with builders and contractors to pre-wire homes for networking, cameras, and automation before drywall goes up, which is the most cost-effective time to do it.

Yes — we serve residential and builder/trade clients across the broader mid-Atlantic region.

Networking

A single consumer router often can't cover a full home or handle the number of devices in a modern smart home. We design networks with properly placed access points, which eliminates dead zones and keeps performance consistent room to room.

Yes. We set up network segmentation so guest devices and IoT devices are isolated from your primary network, which is better for both security and performance.

Security

Yes — every camera system we install includes a mobile app so you can view live and recorded footage from anywhere, and receive motion-based alerts.

How we work

One team, from first walkthrough to ongoing support.

Every project follows the same disciplined path — so the result is clean, documented, and built to last.

1 · Walkthrough & design

We start on-site — mapping your home, current systems, and goals — and design the right solution before we ever send a quote.

2 · Install & configure

Our technicians install and configure to manufacturer and industry standards, with clean cabling, labeling, and tidy equipment racks.

3 · Test & walkthrough

Every system is tested end to end, and we walk you through how to use it — on the app, on the wall panel, and by voice.

4 · Support & grow

After move-in we stay on — ongoing support and a system that's easy to expand as your home's technology needs grow.
